Rainbow at Splitrock Lighthouse on Lake Superior's Northshore

The emphasis of our site is on Nature Photography.  Most of the images will be from the northeastern part of Minnesota.  From Rice Lake Wildlife Refuge, then along the Superior Hiking Trail and the North Shore of Lake Superior.  

One of my favorite subjects to photograph along the Northshore is the John Beargrease Sled Dog marathon. While there is a lot of action and many interesting photo oppurtunities as the dogs run 400 miles near  Lake  Superior, I focus (pun intended) on the sled dogs.  They have so much personality and it is an interesting challange to try and capture that personality.

Occationally, we have some photo oppurtunities near our home in Andover, Minnesota.           In addition to the Cardinals, Bluejays and other songbirds, we have the fun of seeing and photographing Sandhill cranes, Mute and Trumpeter swans and other critters we share the area with..
